See, weird innit. I've been brought up to not believe, and you know I tried, and... it just seems ludicrous to me. And I think you feel the opposite way. Wonder how this 'ere God of yours looks upon those with atheist parents?
Anyway, slightly different point - have your parents just put their house on the market?? There's a house my parents reckon looks like yours in the paper, and boy oh boy is it pricey!! Goodness me. Lots of money. Hope you're well
The way I figure it, it's just as improbable for God to have "always been there" as for the universe to have "always been there" or to have "appeared out of nowhere" so I think both sides have to rely on faith at some point.
As for the house, yes - it has gone up on the market, and it is indeed very expensive. My dad doesn't reckon he'll get quite that much, but he said he wouldn't be keen to go for less than 90% of the asking price, which is still a shedload of money.
I can't see why people say the the bible has been written to explain creation. God seems to gloss the whole thing over in a couple of pages when i'm sure creating a universe, even for an omnipotent being is a little more challenging. I can't imagine the conversation with Moses being easy.
God. First of all there was a singularity with infinite mass undergoing quantum fluctuations. Moses. I'll just put you built it in 7 days, it's not really the important part. I think that the scientific theories should be constantly challenged but currently the big bang and evolution are the best theories available. |
