Word up homie!
I'd just like to second what you said there. I love Pete dearly, but really hadn't kept in touch too much. It was brilliant to see him so happy with a wife he so clearly loves and who clearly loves him. It just eminated for them so much, didn't it? They will be a truely fantastic witness of faith to all they know. Great to see everyone, as well, in such happy surroundings. I thouroughly enjoyed the day. Got home about 5 a.m. sunday morning! Nice!
glad u had fun you camping fiend...the image of you emerging from a tent made me giggle...and somebody said pretty much the same of how crazy pete is still but at least its now got a focus! Last exam on wed, got a job so now i can arrange for a time to come and visit you soon x
but what's the bride like mate? congrats to mr myers of course, although i wish you wretched lot would stop getting married! we never did compile a list of our lot at YF and when they'd get married, did we. would have been fun if we had!
The bride was short.
Seriously though, she seemed very nice from what little chance I got to talk to her. She sounds suitably crazy to match Pete, but a bit more controlled which should help to keep him in check! The father's speech actually made her out to be quite a formiddable force so she should be able to keep him in order. All good really. You've got the policeman and you've got the silly one. I defy anyone to get that reference.
"The bride was short"...
Actually, that's probably a pretty good description as we didn't really get to meet her properly with it being her wedding day and all. However, any girl who is nuts enough to let Pete rewrite their order of service in the style of an old fashioned theatre program must be crazy enough to cope with him. Totally agree with what you said though Pete - was good to see Myers in such a good place faith wise and with something to really channel all his energy into! So all we need now is someone to get married next summer for another nicely timed yf get-together! |
